About Julia....
Julia joined Llanelli Youth Theatre in 1990. It whet her appetite for theatre and performing and she went on to train at Drama Centre, London . She currently works under many guises: Actor, Lecturer, Role Player and feels very privileged to be working alongside Chris as Director in A Bridge to the Stars. She has run drama projects for young people in Italy , and her recent acting credits include a piece of new writing “Ugly Sisters”, which was premiered at the Grand Theatre Swansea and Chapter Arts Centre, Cardiff .
“It’s a particularly exciting opportunity to be involved in the scheme as I participated when I was 14. Because of this I understand and have first hand knowledge of how the scheme and in particular the youth theatre’s commitment to the scheme can change perceptions of how powerful theatre can be. This year’s scheme is particularly appealing as the company get the opportunity to perform at Bristol Old Vic. The support that Bristol has offered has been tremendous which is also encouraging for the company.”
