Llanelli Youth Theatre is a vital place where young people from cross-sections of the community, from different schools and different academic abilities can meet, socialise and work together. While developing their communication skills and building their confidence they are producing work of a very high standard. We know this to be true, as many parents, teachers and employers have noticed the difference in the young people who have gained confidence, and are not afraid to speak up and voice their opinions, fluently and coherently.
Both academics and non-academics achieve this through the Youth Theatre. There are no social, religious, political or academic barriers in the Youth Theatre. All youngsters mix and socialise, learn and develop, in a happy and stimulating environment at LYT, achieving a healthy and knowledgeable start in life. We are proud of the fact that the skills they learn are transferable and are skills for life.
